3 segments of the Iowa Spring Classic for 2012

There will be 3 segments of the Iowa Spring Classic for March of 2012.

3/10 - Iowa City/Hills Iowa
3/17 - Colfax Iowa
3/31 - Grinnell Iowa

Iowa Spring Classic 1, 2, & 3 for 2012

NO bathrooms & NO water at race venues!

Look for course and distance with the respective map for each race date and location.

Races go off rain or shine.

Category - class breakdowns and start times:

Men 1-2-3  start  @  12:00PM

Men  40+  start  @  12:05PM

Men  4/5  start  @  12:10PM

Women 1-4 start @ 12:15PM

Registration; Register online (usacycling.org) or at the race site. Race site registration opens at 10:00 AM and closes 20 minutes prior to race. $15 entry fee for all races/classes, NO LATE FEE. Non-USAC licensed rider are required to buy a one day USAC license ($10). Make checks payable to Brett Griggs (promoter). $1 IBRA fee included in $15 entry fee.

Rules; All USAC rules apply and a helmet is required at all times. Courses are open to traffic and the centerline rule will be strictly enforced. The Promoter reserves the right to combine fields when applicable. NO REFUNDS, in accordance with USAC rules.

No Neutral Follow - No Neutral Support - No Neutral Wheels

Carry a tube, pump, and or CO2 canister with you during your race. The Grinnell and Iowa City courses are a majority of gravel and some paved surfaces. The Colfax course is ALL GRAVEL. Cyclo-cross bicycles and heavy duty tires are recommended.

Payouts and Prizes for 2012...

Men 123; $100 total; 1st - $50, 2nd - $30, and 3rd - $20.

Men 40+; $60 total; 1st - $25, 2nd - $20, and 3rd - $15.

Women 1-4; $60 total; 1st - $25, 2nd - $20, & 3rd - $15, & merchandise for Women 4s.

Men 4-5; 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, places receive merchandise.
